By the time Mickie had screetched to a dead stop in the hotel parking lot, Kelsy was cold and unresponsive. While Sable checked to make sure she was breathing, Mickie pressed 4 on her cell phone, speed dialing Randy Orton. He picked up during the first ring.
"Need help?" He asked quickly, and background noise let Mickie know he was running down stairs. She nervously brushed her wavy dark hair from her eyes.
"Yeah. John may have taken too much blood from her. She passed out before we got here. Sable is making sure she keeps breathing," Mickie let out slowly, trying to keep herself cool and collected. Soon, the side door of the tall white building flew open and slammed against its own frame. Randy Orton jogged to Mickie's car, the backseat doors open. Sable was inside partially, cradling Kelsy's very white head. Kelsy didn't move or speak. She was alive and breathing, though it was very shallow. Mickie wiped her eyes to make sure no one knew she was crying.
"Randy, you're going to have to do something you don't want to," Sable said somberly, sitting Indian-style and her slender fingers caressing the girl's soft, ashen face. Randy chewed his bottom lip..Sable meant he'd have to get his own blood in her system to bring her back safely. He hesitated, but Mickie sobbed and tugged on his hand.
"Please, Randy?! Please?!!!" she begged, her lips quivering as she tried not to weep. Randy let his eyes fall on the deathly still girl, and he made his decision.
"I'll do it, but she is so far gone, there's no guarrantees."
Randy chomped into his own wrist deeply, and scooted close to Kelsy. Large ruby pearls fell on her lips, then dripped lazily into her mouth. Several drops coaggulated into a tiny stream into Kelsy's parted lips.
Kelsy couldn't understand how she got here, where she was, why she hurt all over, or why there was this coppery tinge in her mouth. She licked her lips slowly, trying to find a gash, but realized she was uninjured. The flow of metallic flavor still kept coming, and a strange zing of energy brought her drained form back to life.
Help arrives just in time, but what's next? There is no walking away.
